UTC is a worldwide time standard.
UTC = Coordinated Universal Time.
Why UTC, not CUT? There is no clean and simple answer!

Time zones are defined as offsets from UTC:
- Central Time Zone

- Uses Central Daylight Time (UTC−5) — Spring ahead!
- Uses Central Standard Time (UTC−6) — Fall back!
Daylight Saving Time:
- Proposed in 1895 by George Hudson in New Zealand.
- Used by many countries — e.g. New Zealand.
- Not used by many countries.
- Has been found to be unhealthy.
- Recommendation: use sunrise-linked local times!
